Pregnancy while serving on active duty in a deployed or combat environment

The service member refuses to be evacuated from a deployed or combat environment

The service member refuses to wear safety equipment that is required to safely serve

The service member refuses to comply with medical instructions

The service member’s pregnancy-related condition impacts the service member’s ability to safely serve

The service member’s non-pregnancy-related condition impacts the service member’s ability to safely serve

If a pregnant service member is administratively separated from the military, the service member is entitled to the following benefits:

Continued medical coverage for the service member and the service member’s child

A one-time payment of $6,000 for the service member

A one-time payment of $1,500 for the service member’s child

A per diem allowance for the service member and the service member’s child

Reimbursement for travel expenses related to the service member’s pregnancy
